tell me twice

About

Hi! I’m Reidun. I’m a late-30s lifelong Michael Jackson fan. I grew up in Minneapolis but have lived in Los Angeles since 2014. I was never fortunate enough to see Michael live, but I did have main-floor This is It tickets for July 22.

I’m not really anyone special, unique, or well-known in the fandom space. If you’ve attended Brad Sundberg’s In the Studio With MJ seminars in Los Angeles, I’m generally the one running around with a clipboard checking for phones.

Tell Me Twice exists purely as a place for me to dump my feelings and thoughts about Michael as they come. In recent years I’ve come to understand that there is a new generation of fans who do not have the experience we did, who only know about Michael through Instagram reels, podcasts, or product announcements from the Estate.

While my waking memories of his life didn’t really start until the early 90s, there is still a unique experience of being a fan, a megafan even, during his life that is easy to lose if we don’t preserve it. The fans are just as much a part of Michael’s story, and I believe it’s a disservice to him and what he worked for to not share it.

I make no promises about frequency, topics, multimedia, or anything like that. If it comes, it comes. I just wanted to get my thoughts and experiences out there and have it available for those who connect with it.
